JioSafe is a quantum-safe communication app for calling, messaging, file transfer, and more (priced at ₹199 per month). The other app is JioTranslate, an AI-powered multilingual communication app to translate voice calls, voice messages, text, and images (priced at ₹99 per month).

He akash ambaniThe Jio-led company added that Jio users will get both apps free for one year. The company also announced a price hike on all Jio prepaid and postal recharge plans. On average, the increase in plans is around 20%. Check the changes here.
Earlier on Wednesday, the telco had announced the acquisition of additional spectrum in the 1800 megahertz band in Bihar and West Bengal circles for around Rs 973.63 crore in the auction conducted by the Department of Telecom.
