A viral video has been making the rounds on the internet, showing a vendor making ice cream rolls with a raw egg, shell and all. The internet is collectively grossed out, and we can’t blame them. The idea of raw egg-flavored ice cream is, quite frankly, disturbing.

The bizarre video shows the vendor cracking an egg onto a cold metal surface, which is normally used to make ice cream rolls. As the egg comes into contact with the cold pan, it begins to slowly freeze, after which the vendor crushes the yolk and mixes it with the egg whites, including the shells, to form a consistency similar to that of a raw scrambled egg. The vendor then proceeds to spread the frozen egg mixture into a thin, even layer, and finally shapes it into rolls like traditional ice cream rolls.
